Let there be light.. and hearts

We had a really nice, calm weekend.  No major obligations to attend to.  It was nice.

I managed to finish a couple projects I've been working on.

First one is a light box.  I have been wanting to DIY one for quite some time.
As you know (by now) I like to take lots of pictures and the natural light
in my home does not always cooperate. This box will be a major aid in
taking pictures of my Etsy and blog items.   I have one tiny, little bitty detail to
finish, and then I will post that project tomorrow.

In the mean time I will share a just for fun crochet Valentine garland for our mantel.

If you'd like to make a few hearts of your own, here is a great youtube tutorial by Emi.
She will show you how to make the basic heart shape.

I do want to share this one pic below that was taken with my cell phone, while using my light box.
Notice how bright it is?  I'm going to share with you how we (hubs helped me) made it.

Happy Monday!

Wow, that garland is super cute. Next time I am in the craft store I have to remember to get a crochet needle. I never realized you can make so many crafts crocheting. You would be proud of me, (I think?) I started to learn knitting last night. Just learning to cast on and the basic stitch. So far so good. It is great with 'you tube' cause you can freeze it and go over it again and again until you get it. So fun to be creative! Now you made me want to pull out some happy hearts for valentines day!
