Right around the corner...

A final catch up before Christmas.  Its definitely "feeling" more like
Christmas around "My old Kentucky home".    Our temps have
dipped, the winds have whipped, and the snow made things a little slick.

Hubs and I went on a little Christmas walk last weekend to one of my favorite places.
There are beautiful gardens year around.  While nothing is blooming right now,
things are definitely glowing.

Cute Llama's, goats and camel rides too.

There's been a bit of cookie baking going on around here too.
Although, they have all been given away, shipped or eaten.

I still have a list of goodies to make between now and Christmas day. Times a tick'n.

These raspberry thumbprints were SO good, and I'll definitely be making more of those tomorrow.

Christmas cards have all been sent and THANK YOU to my blog friends that
took the time to send our family a card as well.  Its amazing to see your families grow.

Even though a deer caused 10K worth of damage to my car, I still adore them.
I found these the other day.  I haven't worn mittens since I was a kid.

My MIL sent us a nice Christmas package and this was a little treat inside.
We Luv us some Christmas Story.

I've been reading this book this week.  I insta-gramed a pic when I first started it. (4%)
I'm nearly finished and it is really good. It was recommended by my Hub's.  He knows the end..grrr...
Its the kind of book thats hard to put down.

Sadey girl got her Christmas trim and a candy cane stripe bandana.
Hmmm.... wonder if she's been naughty or nice?

Since Wed. evening, I have been to 5 basketball games.  While I wait and
watch, I've been practicing making crochet stars.

Christmas is just a few days away.
I'm ready.
I think.

Oh.. and one last thing.. I have had 0 spam.  Not one single spam comment
since I added the security thingy.  If your blog is getting hit with spam,
I suggest turning it on.

Sure is Christmasy around your place! I love that you took time for a 'Christmas walk' I can barely keep up but I did get my cards out, whew!

Have a Merry Christmas Amy!

It certainly looks like you are enjoying the holidays and that
Sadey is just too cute all decked out. MMMM, those thumb print cookies look delish! Thanks for the Christmas card, what a nice surprise. Sorry to say that sending out Christmas cards never seems to make my 'to-do' list. I do love getting them though.

I'm sorely lacking in the Christmas card department this year. I think they'll turn into cards for greeting the new year instead.
I love those crocheted stars. Is there a link to a pattern for them? I had a friend Helen help me at Seniors learn how to crochet the star garland and it turned out cute. My star points want to curl.
I'm sure it's a tension problem for me. The garland has a date with the iron and some starch I'm afraid.
Merry Christmas to you and your family Amy. Thanks for being here.

Merry Christmas to the Sunnyside Family! Still so much to do, yikes! but somehow it all gets done. :-) Always look forward to your Christmas lights photos, it looks so pretty and its the only time I see purple lights. Your cookies look delish, I have to still bake that is for today.
Enjoy everything!

Merry Christmas Amy! Thanks for the reminder of thumb-print cookies! I use to love making them with my mom as a kid, and I know my girls would love to make them with me. Although I haven't blogged in a long time, I still love visiting my favorite bloggers! Which reminds me... I'll send you a picture of my kiddos, especially my baby boy that is almost 2! You were so kind and supportive during my pregnancy with him. :)
Wishing you joy and peace this Christmas,
Jaime from Colorado

MERRY CHRISTMAS to you, Amy and the family..I'm sorry for the damage the deer did to your car...my husband hit a deer about 12 years ago--3,000.00...my d-i-l hit a deer 2 years ago and it totaled her car.
your little dog is just too precious.
Do you make the stars to sell...
I love your nativity snowglobe.

The Christmas goodies look so good and I bet they were! I probably could have eaten that whole box of fudge...especially since it had nuts thrown in! Thank you for our Christmas card...we got it! I just forgot to thank you!
