Chill'n

This little bitty was pecking at the window.  I know its hard to believe, or perhaps
Its just a co-ing-ki-dink, but when that feeder gets low.. I hear pecking.
Go ahead, laugh.. I'd laugh too.

I'll be making a trip to the feed store.  Gotta keep my little forest friends happy.

This is my view.  I'm guessing there's about 5 - 6 inches out there.

It was a beautiful sunny day today.  We had some melting, but not much... its
pretty nippy out there...... and we're in for a bit more snow on New Years Eve.

Sadey doesn't mind frolicking in the snow a bit, as long as she has her little coat on.
Yes, thats a hood.

I've taken down about 75% of our Christmas decorations.  My kiddo's think
I'm mama Scrooge if I don't leave the tree and mantel lights up until at least
New Years Day.   Our Nativity Set stays up until the Epiphany, (1/6)  but everything
else will be stored away come New Year Day morning.

I do incorporate a few Snow-people into my decor for the month of January.
I love Poinsettia's, so that will stick around for as long as I can keep it alive. HA! ;O)

I'm thoroughly enjoying this time with my hubs and kids off work and school.
Our son has one more week before he returns for spring semester and our girl
starts back on Wed.  Both seem to be ready to get back to their routines which
is a good sign that they've enjoyed their down time, but they also enjoy their
everyday routine as well.  When my family is happy, mama is happy.

New Years Eve will consist of dinner and bowling.  Looking forward to both.

What are your NYE plans?

It sounds like your year is winding up just perfect. Love the snow and am a little jealous.

Poor bird, it looks a little envious of the warmth it can see going on inside both temperature and family togetherness.

Happy New Year to you and yours!

Happy New Year, Amy! I received the nice gift of a cold and bug I am fighting. Hope it passes quickly. Enjoy your family time.

I wouldn't mind having a little snow but just not yet. Maybe late January would be nice! Glad you've enjoyed your time as a family. Seems to come and go so quickly!
