Our daughter graduates next Saturday and our son graduates 2 weeks from tomorrow.
I think we're ready... I think....
The cap and gown came on Monday. Snapped this while he was
acting goofy. He would have a FIT if he knew I shared this.
As the saying goes... what he doesn't know.....
Our daughter and 3 of her classmates held a "penny war" at their school for a week.
Basically each classroom (27) collected pennies. They were allowed to send in
silver coins as well to "bomb or strike" each others buckets. For each piece of
silver added to the bucket they lost as many pennies as the value of the silver coin.
Confusing... yeah.. me too. The winning classroom at the end was gifted a
pizza party. Anyway.. each afternoon (for 5 days) the girls would split the
27 buckets, go home, count and wrap. After one week of collecting, I took the
girls to the bank. I am proud to say that they counted and wrapped $2,060.50
worth of pennies and silver coins. WOW! The money is being donated to our
local Children's Hospital. The 4 girls completely organized and completed this
project on their own and I'm so proud of them! (Do you have any idea how
long it takes to wrap that much money in change?? COUNTLESS hours..
seriously.)
This was taken about 3/4 way through ONE night of counting.
This week we are crossing off the basketball banquet for our daughter ~ done.
The talent show is tonight. All the 8th graders are required to perform a large
skit at the end. Its at the end though.. (2 hr. show) so I will be getting there right
before she performs. That's bad isn't it? Oh well....
I still need to get flowers. I have planted nothing since my pansies in the flip flop pots.
Need to work on that this weekend.
Oh.. I'm SO getting ready for a vacation and I wanted to pick up a few new tops
to take along. I found some cute shirts at Old Navy.
Why am I showing you these?
I don' know... click on the pic for more details.
I'm curious. What is your favorite go to store for clothes?

I find some cute things a Kohl's and JcPenney....does that sound "old", I am older then you but I'll let you wonder by how much! have fun!
Oh how fun!! Graduation is always a wonderful event but wow what a collection of coins! Congratulations to the girls!!
Where to shop, well I too like Old Navy but then there's TJ Macs, Macy's, Kohls, J.C. Penney's, I'm not a patient shopper so If I don't see what I'm looking for right off the bat, I move on.
Test
Busy, busy!! I'm sure you will be more than ready for that vacation after all these graduations and parties.
Such a smart girl for organizing the penny war and rolling that much money! It is very time consuming!
It is busy busy time. Glad you are on target and prepared. Congrats to your daughter and the penny wars, bet you are glad the war is over though, haha! Congrats to your son too. It is that time of gulp..graduation gowns. wow. Love the shirts you picked, especially the last one. I am all over the place for clothes. My go-to store is usually TJMaxx, I have a really good one by me. I can usually find nice clothes for a really great price there. But their is always good finds in the mall too, Macys, Lord & Taylor etc. Enjoy!
