I pieced together the top and bottom circle. Alternately fabric to give it a patchwork look.
Sew top and bottom circle with right sides together.
Leave a small opening.
Turn right side out.
Fill with polyfil.
Whip stitch closed.
Use a long piece of yarn knotted at one end.
With a large needle insert through bottom and straight up
through the top.
Bring it around one end covering up a seam and inset at
bottom again, bringing it right up through the top again.
Continue until you have covered all the seams.
Secure in place.
Next, cut a circle from coordinating fabric.
Loosely stitch around the edge only going in and out.
Do not tie off. Pull string taught and it begins for for a little pocket.
Stuff with Polyfil and sew to the top of cushion.
I placed mine in a small little red crock.
Add pins.
Just another little someth'n I made for my creative space.

*Sew* Cute!
Very cute! Can't wait to see your new space all finished!
Haven't you made one of these before? "Seams" like you have or maybe I'm losing my mind and making stuff up ;-)
Anyway, Addicyn's eyes are dark blue! Had a minute and wanted to stop in to say hey...
Such a neat idea of putting the pincushion in a little crock. I make these and stuff them with raw wool which I purchased from Canada.
That's really cute, luv the colors! I also love the new red barn header.
Now that's cute, especially when put into that little crock. That would add the weight needed to keep the pin cushion in one place... great idea.
