New season, New wreath

I bought this cute, simple little spring flower wreath last
summer while on a little road trip.  I decided to use it on
our front door this Spring.  I felt like it needed a little
something.

I was at Walmart this morning, and found some wood
letters discounted for $1.  So.. I picked one up.
As soon as I saw it, I knew where it was going.

I used some scrapbook paper, some mod podge,
and a little red ribbon.
It's a little hard to tell from the picture, but
I used a pretty yellow paper with a white
flower outline on it.  In person you can see
how it picks up the yellow in the centers of the
white flowers.

YES.. I need to go out right NOW.. and clean the dirt
off my front door. Since our neighbors house is NOW
complete, seeded and strawed.. we should have
fewer dust problems. Well.. that is if it rains soon.

Well done! So happy and welcoming looking. Gives a v.e.r.y friendly impression for your new neighbors. Love this idea.

Very, very cute but one question....

Does the wooden P bang up against the door when it is opened and closed? Did you add anything to the back of it to prevent? Love the idea! I think a "K" may be a little harder to hang?? Or just have two hangers?

Tara to answer your question. First let me say that this wreath is on a door only guests use... so it's not used each time we come and go. I didn't put anything thing on the back because the P weighs practically nothing. (however that is a good idea) When I open the door I didn't really notice it banging. I do have some felt squares.. I should go ahead and put them on just to be safe. Yeah, I K would be a little trickier, but you could also drill two pilot wholes at the top of the K and hang with a thinner ribbon.
