Pillow inspiration

PotteryBarn Pillows.. I luv'em, but my budget.. not so much.

Especially this one. $29.00 ea.

I love to browse their store, catalog for inspiration
and wasy to incorporate their styles into my own home.

So I made my own.
I covered two pillows I already had.
I used the same fabric that I used for the basket
liners, and purchased two coordinating (with my quilt)
ceramic buttons.

(The lighting is terrible in this shot. They are really a dark blue like the PB pillow above & they really lay so much
nicer on the bed than they do on my table here.)

2 Pottery Barn Pillows $58 + tax.
My version... made by a "non sewer" $8 Total!
That's over $50 savings!

Go me, Go me.. uhuh, uhuh, uhuh!

I'm going to show the reveal once I get everything pulled together. It's a process.
3/4 of the furniture has been painted, one dresser to go.

OK.. I'm off to work on another project. A little more sewing.
But Amy, (says faithful reader) you and your machine just don't get along!

We've made up!

Nice job! They look just like PB.

Glad you & your sewing machine have come to terms. :)

Great job. Now if you could just get PB tags - ha! I love the owl background on your blog. Last night I was bored so I typed Pottery Barn Blog giveaways into google and found several! I'd tell you where they were but I have no idea...

I wish I had the "want to" and "know how" to do such things. I love receiving my Pottery Barn catalogs!!

Excellent! So, here's my question, do you/will you make your bed casually like a PB photo? I have tried to get that layered look with mixed results in the past. Can't wait to see!
