Would you

..... camp out in a parking lot, sleep in a tent (city) with
with strangers, and near freezing temperatures?
Quite a number of folks (140 in fact) did this in our area the
past 2 days. You see, we are moving up in the world...
we now have a Chik fil a!

Woohoo..... who doesn't like some Chik fil a?!??!
Well I say we.. like I own it, (which I don't, but hubby
looked into it, we were too late!) or that it's near
my home (which it isn't), but what the heck, jump
in the car, merge onto the highway, and 20
minutes later, I'm at Chick fil a. In my neck of the
woods.. that equates to "we" have a Chik fil a.

Its grand opening is today, BUT.... the exciting
news was the first 100 in line would receive a
certificate for 1 free meal each week for 1 year or
52 weeks. In today's economy, that's like winning
the lottery, a free meal each week.. sweet!

I drive past this franchise twice a day doing
carpool. I have a feeling they are going to become
quite familiar with my Hylander (goldie) swinging
through their drive through. I was way to much
of a wimp to camp for this. I kinda like sleeping in
my warm bed, with my hubby (not a stranger) next
to me. ....And I'll try not to be jealous of those in front or
behind me in line with free food certificates... yep
I'll be happy for them.. I will.. really.......
ok.. I won't.

Unless I was literally without food, I would not be camping out either. Some people are just more competitive and adventurous than me. Plus, I don't need all those extra calories....that's my excuse for my laziness and need for comfort;-)

You're telling me that 140 people camped out outside of a fast food restaurant for crummy coupons? What the hell is this world coming to? LOL

OK, first of all I have never heard of chik-fil-a or Sonic for that matter. What type of food is it? Is it like McDonalds? They are building a Sonic where I shop sometimes. I only know they sell Vanilla Cokes from you.

Second, just have to tell you that ladybugs do NOT read your blog because I clearly said yesterday that they are NOT welcome in my house. Well, apparently they can't read, because the one released on a Q-tip told all of her little ladybug friends and they are now IN my house! About 9 of them. How did you get rid of them? Exterminator? It seems a little wimpy to call one just to get rid of LADYBUGS? No?

Well, now I am too jealous! Chik-Fil-A was across the street from my son's school. I admit we went way too many times for the food police, but it was so convenient and drive was so long and boring home. I snacked on many a little chicken bit in Dallas. Oh my, three years without and I can't remember the name. Now if y'all have a Target, I'm really going to be green. Guilty, I love civilization and chains and deals and quick ice teas and coffee and bargains ...

The fasted food we have is Subway. We live way to far out in the sticks for anything fancy like Chick-Fil-A! Lucky!
